Who we are

Welcome to MKM

At MKM, we believe in the transformative power of martial arts, striking, and holistic recovery to uplift lives. Our studio offers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Striking classes for all ages — from tamariki as young as 4 to kaumatua up to 80. Whether you’re a beginner learning self-defence, a competitive fighter refining your skills, or someone seeking balance and wellness, our programmes are designed for every level.

Beyond the mats, we provide a unique Recovery Room experience with state-of-the-art saunas and ice baths. These facilities help our members rejuvenate, reduce muscle soreness, and enhance overall wellbeing.

Through partnerships with Marae Trusts, we extend our reach into the wider hapori, delivering trauma-informed, culturally grounded programmes that empower rangatahi, wāhine, tāne, and whānau.

Our Mission

We aim to create a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive space where Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Striking, and recovery practices are taught with integrity. By working alongside Marae Trusts, we bring martial arts and wellness directly into communities, ensuring access for all cultures, religions, and ages.

Our Vision

We aspire to cultivate a community of strong, resilient, disciplined, and confident individuals. By embedding our programmes within marae and local hapori, we lay foundations for future generations Rangatahi and Kaumatua alike ensuring martial arts and recovery practices are cherished for years to come.
